The World Archaeology Festival is a free public event organised by UCL Institute of Archaeology. Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, this festival offers brilliant drop-in activities for children and families, to showcase the fantastic world of archaeology.
MA Museum and Site Interpretation students from the Archaeology Department have been busy putting together some of the activities. We will all be wearing World Archaeology Festival T-shirts on the day, so do ask us any questions you may have - we will be more than happy to help!
The UCL Institute of Archaeology
As one of the most highly regarded centres for archaeology, conservation, heritage and museum studies in the world, this Institute also plays an important role in public archaeology education. Staff and students of the IoA have been actively involved in on-going public engagement activities from the opening of the Institute. The aim of this public engagement work is to encourage a culture of two-way conversations between university staff and students, and people outside the university.
